Saved addresses

Keep up to five delivery addresses on a customer, set the default that preloads on new orders, and see where customers pick an address.

2 min read

Each customer can keep up to five saved delivery addresses. Saved addresses mean nobody retypes the head office or warehouse address on every order, and the customer can pick one when they confirm.

#Step by step

  1. Open the customer and go to Company details → Addresses.
  2. Press Add address.
  3. Enter a Label (for example Head office or Warehouse), the Address, and switch on Default address if this should be the default.
  4. Press Add address.

Each address card shows Default, or Edit, Set default and Delete. Changes save straight away. The first address is always the default.

#Where the addresses are used

  • When you raise an order, the default address preloads. The customer still confirms it.
  • On an order, Choose address lists Customer addresses and Sub group addresses, plus Enter a different address.
  • On the confirmation page, the customer picks from their saved addresses or a saved address for one of their groups, types a new one, or ticks "I'll confirm the address later".
  • In the customer portal, a customer can open an order and press Change address. They see the address already on the order, the company's saved addresses and the addresses of the sub groups they are assigned to (every group for the account admin), each as a card, or Enter a different address. Your team is told about the change.

Good to know

Customers can't add saved company addresses themselves from the portal. Your team manages them here.

#Sub group addresses

Each sub group can also hold its own delivery address, in the sub group's drawer. This is what lets the confirmation page offer "use the address we already hold" for that club or school. See Sub groups and the logo library.

#Common questions

Can a customer have more than five addresses? No. Delete one you no longer need, or put the address on a sub group instead.

Which address does a new order start with? The default. Use Set default on another card to change it.

The customer doesn't know the address yet. They can tick "I'll confirm the address later" on the confirmation page. It won't hold the order up.
