Customer logo and brand colour

Give each customer their own logo and brand colour so the emails and approval pages they forward carry their branding, not yours.

2 min read

Most of what Flyte sends your customers is designed to be forwarded to their customers. That's why each customer can have their own logo and brand colour: emails and approval pages about their work then carry their branding, and their customer never needs to know you exist.

#Where to set it

Open the customer, go to Company details and find the Brand section.

  • Upload logo / Remove. This saves straight away. It is used on approval emails and approval pages.
  • Logo for light backgrounds — optional. A customer's main logo is usually white artwork for the coloured email banner. If so, upload a dark or full-colour version here for the top of their portal, which is white. Leave it blank to use the main logo. Emails always use the main logo.

#Brand colour

Pick from the swatches, use the picker, or type a hex code. Clear removes it. The "How it will look" preview shows the result.

  • Choose a dark colour. White text sits on it, in the banner and on buttons.
  • Black is a valid choice. It's only recorded once you actually touch the picker, so opening and saving a customer won't make them black by accident.

#How the colour is chosen

On emails and pages about a customer, Flyte uses:

  1. the customer's brand colour, if set;
  2. otherwise your brand colour from Settings → General;
  3. otherwise the default.

Your account's logo and colour are set in Settings → General → Brand, which also has the mirror-image option: a Logo for dark backgrounds, for the dark menu. See Settings: General.

#Common questions

The brand colour doesn't show on approval pages. It's probably too light. Pick a darker colour.

The customer's logo looks invisible at the top of their portal. It's white artwork on a white background. Upload a Logo for light backgrounds.

An email shows my logo, not the customer's. The customer has no logo uploaded on their record.
