Customer detailings

Keep each customer's neck labels, neck tape, care labels and woven tabs in a library, and add them to products in two clicks.

2 min read

Detailings are decoration that goes on the garment but isn't a printed logo: neck labels, neck tape, care labels, woven tabs. Flyte keeps them in a library on each customer, so they're set up once and added to products in a couple of clicks, and the factory always works from the same file you do.

#Step by step: add a detailing

  1. Open the customer and go to the Detailings tab.
  2. Press Add detailing.
  3. Enter a Description and upload a Thumbnail. Both are required.
  4. Optionally add a Size, an Artwork file (seen by your team and the factory only) and Internal notes (never shown to the customer).
  5. Press Save detailing.

#Using a detailing

Pick it onto a product or an enquiry line with + Add Detailings. From there it appears on the PO, the order, the factory board and the customer's portal, under the heading Logos & Detailings.

Good to know

You can't create a detailing in the middle of an enquiry. The visual workspace only picks from the library, so a label can never exist on one job and nowhere else. If it's missing, add it on the customer first.

#The library is the truth

  • Editing a detailing updates every product carrying it, straight away, including jobs already with the factory. A neck label is a standing spec, so fix it once.
  • Deleting a detailing doesn't strip it off products that have it. They keep their last copy. The confirmation tells you how many products that is.

Internal notes are never shown to the customer.

Customers see their full set under More → My detailings in the portal.

#Shared detailings

Your own neck tape, care labels and trims that apply to every customer go in Settings → Size groups & detailings → Shared detailings. They're offered on every customer's products alongside the customer's own.

#Common questions

Why can't I add a detailing to a base product? A base product is shared by every customer who uses it, so one customer's label would appear on everyone's version. Add it to the customer product.

A customer wants a new label. Add it on their Detailings tab. Customers can't add detailings themselves.
