Flyte uses a handful of words in a specific way. This glossary explains each one as it is used on screen. Terms are grouped by where you meet them.

#People and parties

Term Meaning
Customer A company you make for: a club, school, business, often a reseller. Its people, sub groups, addresses, products and orders hang off it.
End customer Your customer's own customer, the people who will wear the garments. They can review a visual through a link of their own that shows no prices.
Sub group A club, school, team or department under a customer, with a short code, its own delivery address, logos and colours. Assigning people to sub groups controls what they see in the portal.
Account admin The one person at a customer who manages their account in the portal. They see everything for the company. It does not mean "receives every email".
Order's contact The person at the customer an order belongs to. Every customer email about that order goes to them, and only them.
Order emails A per-person switch on a customer's people. Off means that person isn't sent order emails.
Factory A supplier that makes your goods. Its notification users receive your POs by email.
Designer A team member marked as a designer. They can be assigned visual jobs and are emailed when the customer responds.
Platform support team The people who run Flyte for you. Reach them from Messages → Support.

#Designs and enquiries

Term Meaning
Enquiry / visual job The same thing: a design job, with a reference such as VIS-0123, from first enquiry to customer approval. Found under Visuals.
Visual The design itself: front and back renders, logo placements and details for each product, sent to the customer to approve.
Approve & Place Order / Approve for Later / Request Changes The three decisions a customer makes on each product of a visual. An order is only placed once every product is approved.
Logo placement A logo on a product, with its position. Saved logos live in a sub group's logo library for reuse.
Detailing Decoration that isn't a printed logo: neck labels, neck tape, care labels, woven tabs. Kept in a library on the customer.
Price on enquiry A product that shows Price on enquiry instead of a price. Customers press Request a price, and your team quotes it.
Quote A priced offer the customer accepts or declines online. Accepting does not create an order.

#Orders and production

Term Meaning
Order What the customer buys. It starts as a Draft and becomes real when your team confirms it.
Locker Room The basket in the customer portal. Order items become a draft order; enquiry items become a visual job.
Ready to Check The customer has confirmed. Still a draft, but now your team's move.
ETD The delivery date you promise on an order, or the factory's estimated date on a PO. An order can't be confirmed without one.
Lead time How many days a product takes to make. It drives the customer's earliest standard date.
URGENT An order whose required date is inside the standard lead time.
Purchase order (PO) What you send a factory to make goods. One PO is for one factory, and can cover several orders. PO prices are buy prices in the factory's currency.
Panel prints / production photos Photos of a sample the factory makes before the full run, approved by the customer product by product.
PPS (pre-production sample) A complete sample garment, made and shipped before bulk production, for orders that need one. Bulk doesn't start until the customer approves it.
Job sheet A document some jobs send to the customer to approve. Approving it can't be undone.
Hold A pause on an order or PO, with a reason such as unpaid deposit. The factory is told.
Approvals The page (also called the Approval Center) where you decide what factories ask for: product changes, price changes, extra lines, payment requests.
To Get Done One list of everything waiting on you. Customers and factories have their own.

#Products, sizes and prices

Term Meaning
Base product The blank garment as the factory makes it, with no customer.
Customer product A base product decorated for one customer. It stays linked to its base: the size group and size chart always follow the base.
Stock product A supplier's off-the-shelf item, kept up to date from supplier feeds and shown in the customer portal's Stock area.
Customer code A unique 1–9 character code for each customer. It is the spine of their product codes.
Size group The list of sizes a product can be ordered in, in that order. Set in Settings → Size groups & detailings.
Size chart A table of garment measurements. It is not the list of orderable sizes.
Uni / OSO Uni is a one-size group for custom lines that aren't garments (setup costs, design fees, credits). OSO ("One Size Only") is a real one-size garment.
MOQ Minimum order quantity. On a product's price tiers, tier 1's minimum quantity is the MOQ. How strictly it is enforced on orders depends on whether your account has the MOQ gate switched on.
Buy price / sell price Buy prices are what you pay the factory and drive POs. Sell prices are what the customer pays. They are separate.
Mark-up tiers Percentages added to cost to get sell prices. Customers can have their own, or use your defaults.

#Freight and money

Term Meaning
Shipment One consignment from a factory to one place, built from PO lines.
Freight The international leg from the factory to your warehouse, by air or sea.
Local delivery The last leg, from your warehouse to the customer.
Landed cost The cost of a product once freight, duty and fees from landing the shipment are spread across it.
Payment run A group of unpaid POs paid together, with the actual payments recorded inside it.
Graveyard Where deleted records go. Most can be restored.

#Portal tools

Term Meaning
