Products and pricing on an order

Add products to an order, enter quantities by size, and understand automatic tier pricing, set prices, discounts and $0.00 warnings.

2 min read

The Products tab of the order workspace is where you build what the customer is buying. Quantities save as you type, and prices come from the product's price tiers unless you set one yourself.

#Add a product

  1. Open the order and go to Products.
  2. Press Add product.
  3. Search. Results include the customer's own products and the base catalogue.
  4. Pick one. A panel shows its price tiers and size group.
  5. Every size in the product's size group is added at zero.
  6. Type quantities into the sizes you need. They autosave.

Lines left at zero aren't kept. A running total sits at the top of the tab.

Each product block has Product details: logos and detailings, fabric and size chart.

#How lines are priced

By default each line gets its automatic tier price, shown as "Auto — tier price for N units". The price follows the quantity, so reaching the next quantity break lowers it. A customer product with no pricing of its own uses its base product's pricing.

You can change this per line:

  • Set price — type a custom price. The line then stops re-pricing.
  • Use tier price — go back to the automatic price.
  • Disc % — a percentage discount on the line.

#Warnings you might see

Message What to do
"This line is $0.00 — tier price for N is $X" Press Apply tier price.
"No sell pricing on this product or its base" Add sell pricing to the product in Products, then come back.
Price on enquiry — enter price The product is priced on enquiry and has no tiers. Type the agreed price. The order won't save or confirm until you do.

Good to know

confirming an order with a $0.00 line is allowed, but you'll be warned first. A deliberate $0.00 line is fine; an accidental one usually means the product has no sell price.

#Custom lines

For fees, setup costs or credits, add a custom line with a code, a size group, a quantity and a unit price.

  • Use the Uni size group for one-off money such as a setup cost or design fee.
  • Use a real size group when the custom line really is a run of garments. The line then becomes a size grid like a product line.

#Common questions

Why did a size I didn't add appear on the order? If the customer confirmed through Send for Review & Confirmation, they can enter quantities in any size in the product's size group, not only the sizes on their PO.

I set a price and now it won't change with quantity. A set price stops re-pricing. Press Use tier price to go back to automatic pricing.

Can I hide prices from the customer? Prices are hidden on the customer's confirmation link by default. You can switch them on per order. See Getting the customer to confirm an order.
