Product attributes, ranges and vendors

Set your code prefixes, group base products into ranges, manage styles, categories, techniques, colours and genders, and add stock vendors.

Settings → Product attributes holds the building blocks your products are described with, plus the prefixes used in product and PO numbers. Settings → Vendors holds your stock suppliers.

#Codes

  • Default product code prefix — used for customers who have no product prefix of their own.
  • Purchase order prefix — the prefix on PO numbers.

Each has its own Save button.

Good to know

Changing the PO prefix doesn't restart PO numbering. That's by design.

#Base product ranges

Ranges group the Base Products tab of the customer catalogue by code prefix. Each range has a Range name, SKU prefixes and Visible to. Press + Add range to add one.

Visible to restricts a range to the customers you name, and hides those products from everyone else. It never grants access a customer doesn't otherwise have. Where ranges overlap, the strictest wins.

#The attribute lists

  • Style — for example Hoodie, Polo, Tee. Your customers and factories see it.
  • Category — for example Rugby, Netball. Shown in the team and customer portals, not to factories.
  • Technique, Colours, Neckline / waist and Gender.

Type a value and press Add. Drag to reorder.

#Renaming and removing

  • Renaming a value changes it on every product using it. You see how many products first. Placed orders and POs aren't changed.
  • Removing a value doesn't change existing products.

#Stock products

  • Default tags — added to every new stock product.
  • Stock product vendor — fills in the Vendor field automatically.

#Vendors

Settings → Vendors lists your stock suppliers. They appear as brand tiles in the Stock area of the customer portal. Press Add vendor. Each vendor has:

  • a hero image, name, website, contacts, address and a short blurb;
  • the supplier's API address and token, used for stock sync. The token is never shown again after saving; leave it blank to keep the existing one;
  • Active (visible to customers);
  • a count of linked products.

Press Save. Delete removes the vendor but keeps its products; only the link is removed.

#Common questions

A customer can't see some base products. A range's Visible to excludes them.

PO numbers didn't restart after I changed the prefix. By design.

Can I see which products use a style before renaming it? Yes. You're shown the count before the rename happens.
