Finding your way around Settings

How Settings is organised, who can see and change it, how saving works, and what each settings page is for.

2 min read

Settings is where you set up how Flyte works for your business: your company details and branding, your team, your catalogue's building blocks, pricing, freight, emails and integrations. This article is a map of it.

#Where to find it

Settings in the sidebar. A menu down the left groups the pages, with Search settings at the top to jump straight to one.

#Who can see and change Settings

  • Opening Settings needs the Settings section ticked for you.
  • Saving needs the Can edit Settings power. Without it, Settings is view-only.
  • Team & access shows only to the account owner and people with Can manage the team.

See Sections and powers.

#How saving works

  • Lists and tables save as you edit.
  • Sections with their own Save button save only when you press it. While a section has unsaved edits, a bar at the bottom of the page offers to save or discard.

#Importing settings from a file

Import settings CSV, at the bottom of the menu, loads styles, techniques, colours, necklines and size groups from a file.

Watch out

Importing replaces those lists with the file's values, after you confirm. It doesn't add to them.

#Common questions

"You do not have permission…" when I save. You need Can edit Settings. Ask your account owner or someone who can manage the team.

I can't see Team & access. Only the owner and people with Can manage the team can.

I can't find Invoicing. It appears only if your account has invoicing switched on.
