The weekly production schedule

Send customers a weekly spreadsheet of everything they have in production: design the layout, switch it on per customer and choose who receives it.

1 min read

The weekly production schedule is a spreadsheet of everything a customer has in production, emailed to them each week. It answers "where's our stuff up to?" before they need to ask.

#Design the layout

Settings → Reports → Weekly production schedule. There is one layout for every customer it's switched on for.

  • Sheet title — {customer} becomes the customer's name in capitals.
  • Columns — rename a heading, drag or use the arrows to reorder, × to remove, and Add a column… to add one. Reset to the standard layout starts again.
  • Internal marks a field that is yours, not the customer's.

Watch out

Think before including a column marked Internal. The sheet goes to the customer.

Press Preview to see it with sample data, Send test to myself to receive it, and Save layout to keep it.

#Switch it on for a customer

  1. Open the customer and go to Company details.
  2. Find the weekly production schedule and switch it On.
  3. Choose the day and hour (NZ time).
  4. Use Preview, Test to me or Send now as needed. Last sent shows when it last went.

#Who receives it

It goes to everyone at that customer who has Receives reports switched on in the People tab and also has Order emails on and an email address. Use Send them reports on a person's row to add them.

A quiet week still sends, with an empty sheet.

#Common questions

It won't switch on. Nobody at the customer has Receives reports, or those who do have no email or have order emails off.

It isn't arriving. Check it's switched on for that customer, and that someone has both Receives reports and Order emails on.
