Size groups and shared detailings

Create the size groups products are ordered in, understand Uni and OSO, set measurement types for size charts, and add detailings shared by every customer.

2 min read

Settings → Size groups & detailings decides what sizes your products can be ordered in, what measurements their size charts show, and which labels and trims are offered on every customer's products.

#Size groups

A product's size group is exactly what it can be ordered in, in that order. If a size isn't in the group, nobody can order it.

  • A group can have up to 12 sizes.
  • + Add size group creates one. No password is needed.
  • Editing or deleting a group asks for the size group password, because it changes every product using it. Ask your account owner for it.
  • The Products column shows how many products use each group.

Watch out

Give every group a unique name. If two groups share a name, products resolve to the first one, which may not have the sizes you expect.

#Uni and OSO

Keep both. They are not the same thing.

Group Use it for
Uni One size, for custom PO lines that aren't garments: setup costs, design fees, credits
OSO "One Size Only": a real one-size garment

#Products with no size group

A product with no size group, or one that names a group Settings no longer has, blocks submitting any PO it's on. If your account uses Garment Works, it also can't be registered there.

#Measurement types

These are the rows of a product's size chart, up to 6 per product.

Good to know

A size chart is a table of measurements. It is not the list of sizes a product can be ordered in; that's the size group.

#Shared detailings

Your own neck tape, care labels and trims, offered on every customer's products alongside that customer's own. Press + Add detailing.

Detailings that belong to one customer go on that customer's record, under Detailings. See Customer detailings.

#Common questions

A customer can't order a size. Check the product's size group, and check for two groups with the same name.

I'm asked for a password to edit a size group. That's the size group password. Ask your account owner.

A PO won't submit. Check that every product on it has a size group that exists in Settings.
