Finding your way around the portal
What is in the top bar and the sidebar, and how to view one company's work at a time if you make for several companies.
This article explains the parts of the factory portal you see on every page: the top bar, the sidebar, and the Viewing selector. Once you know these, you can find any piece of work quickly.
#The top bar
The top bar is at the top of every page. It has:
- Search — type a PO number or a product code to go straight to it.
- Language switch — changes the portal between English and Chinese. See Switching between English and Chinese.
- Messages — your conversations with the companies you make for. A number shows how many are unread.
- Notifications — the bell. It lists what happened, such as new POs and decisions on your proposals.
- + New — a quick way to start:
- New shipment
- New payment request
- New support ticket
- Add a colleague (owner and admins only)
- Reminders — a red pill. It appears only when one of your reminders is due. See Reminders.
#The sidebar
The sidebar is on the left. It is in four groups.

A few notes:
- Customers means the companies you make for, not their own customers.
- Team is only for your factory's owner and admins.
- Graveyard holds POs that a company withdrew or deleted. They are read-only.
Good to know
You only see the pages your factory's owner or admin has given you. If a page you need is missing from your sidebar, ask them to tick it for you on Team.
#Working for more than one company: Viewing
If you make for several companies, a Viewing selector appears.
- Open the Viewing selector.
- Pick one company.
Now every page shows only that company's work. This includes POs, products, freight, messages, approvals, the calendar and capacity.
To see everything again, choose Show all merchants (or All merchants).
Tip
If you cannot find a PO you expect, check the Viewing selector first. It may be set to a different company.
You can also set Viewing from a company's page: open Customers, open the company, and press Show only their work everywhere.
#Common questions
A page I need is not in the sidebar. Your owner or admin has not given you access. They tick the page for you on Team.
I cannot find a company's PO. Check that Viewing is not set to another company. Also check whether Hide closed or Hide delivered is on in the PO list.
Can one company see the work I do for another company? No. Each company only sees its own POs and its own messages with you.
