Getting started with the factory portal

The factory portal is where you receive purchase orders (POs) from the companies you make for. You accept them, send production photos, ship the goods and ask to be paid. In the portal, each company you work with is called a Merchant.

This article explains how to sign in for the first time, and what to do if you cannot get in.

#Your first sign-in

The company you make for invites you by email. The email is in English and Chinese.

1. Open the invite email.
2. Click the link in the email. It takes you to a page where you set your password.
3. Choose a password and save it.
4. Go to the factory portal link your merchant sent you.
5. Enter your Email or factory code and your Password.
6. Press Sign in.

Watch out

The invite link works for 7 days, and it works only once. If it has expired or you have already used it, the link will not work again. Ask for a new one (see below).

#The Getting Started tour

The first time you sign in, a short Getting Started tour runs. It shows you the main parts of the portal. You can replay it at any time from the Getting Started link.

#If you forget your password

There is no "forgot password" button on the sign-in page. To set a new password:

• Ask your factory's owner or an admin to press Send password link for you on the Team page. You get an email with a link to set a new password.
• If nobody at your factory can do this, ask the company that invited you to send the invite again.

The password link is valid for 7 days.

#One login for all your companies

You may make for more than one company. If a second company invites you with the same email address, you keep the same login and the same password. Their work appears in the portal next to the first company's work. You do not need a new account.

Each company only sees its own POs and its own messages with you. Nothing you do for one company is shown to another company.

#Personal login or factory-code login

You can sign in with your own email (a personal login) or with a shared factory code.

A shared factory-code login works, but some things only work with a personal login. For example, a shared login can only create Team reminders, not Only me reminders. A personal login is better. Ask your owner or admin to add you on the Team page. See Team and permissions.

#What happens next

After you sign in, you see the Dashboard. A good place to start each day is To get done, which lists everything waiting on your factory. See To get done and the Dashboard.

#Common questions

My invite link does not work. Why? It has expired (after 7 days) or it was already used. Ask your owner or admin, or the company that invited you, to send a new one.

I cannot remember my password. Ask your owner or admin to press Send password link for you on Team.

Do I need a new login for a new company? No. If they invite the same email address, you keep the same email and password.

The page is in the wrong language. Use the language switch in the top bar.
