Products, artwork and sizes on a PO

How to read each product on a purchase order, including the size grid, artwork, logos, detailings, size chart, names and numbers.

2 min read

Each product on a PO has its own section. It tells you exactly what to make: which sizes and how many, the artwork, the logos, the labels and the fabric. This article explains each part, and what to do when something does not match.

#What each product shows

  • Images — Front and Back.
  • Size grid — the sizes and the quantity of each. This is what you make.
  • Unit price and Total — your buy price.
  • Fabric and colours.
  • Artwork — press Download PDF to get the artwork file.
  • Logos — with their placement and size.
  • Detailings — neck labels, tapes, care labels and tabs.
  • Size chart — the measurements.
  • Factory ID — your own style number.
  • Production photo slots — where you upload panel prints. See Production photos and panel prints.

#Factory ID

Type your own style number in Factory ID. It saves straight away.

If you see "Carried forward from…", the Factory ID was copied from your last PO for this product. Edit it if you want a different one for this PO.

#Names & numbers

Some products have Names & numbers: a list of names, numbers and sizes to print. You can Copy to clipboard or Download CSV.

#Custom lines

A CUSTOM line is an extra charge or item, such as a setup cost. It is not a garment.

#Notes on a product

Notes on a product are shared with the company's team.

#Which sizes to make

Make the sizes and quantities in the PO's size grid.

Good to know

The size chart is for measurements only. If you see "This size chart does not match the size group", make the sizes on the order. The chart columns are measurements, not the sizes to make.

#Spec as sent

The PO shows each product exactly as it was when the PO was sent. You see this as Spec as sent on a date.

Sometimes the company changes the product after sending the PO. Then you see Product has changed since this PO was sent. Press Compare to see what was sent and what it is now, side by side.

Watch out

Make what the PO was sent with, unless the company tells you otherwise. If you are not sure, ask in the PO messages.

#Common questions

The artwork is missing. You see "No artwork on file for this product". Ask the company in the PO messages.

Which sizes do I make? The sizes and quantities in the size grid.

The product changed after the PO was sent. Which version do I make? The version the PO was sent with, unless the company tells you otherwise. Use Compare and ask the company if you are unsure.

Can I change the price on a product? Not directly. You can propose a new price. See Proposing changes, prices and custom items.
