Messages and notifications

Talk to your supplier about any order, send files and photos, and keep on top of notifications and emails.

Every conversation about your orders lives in one inbox in the portal. Each order has its own conversation, so questions and answers stay with the order they're about. Notifications tell you when something changes.

#Opening Messages

Press the speech bubble in the top bar. Each order you can see has its own conversation, newest first, with a count on anything you haven't read. The same conversation also sits on the order itself, so you can write from either place.

  • Search orders and messages — by order number, name or a word in a message.
  • Filters — show unread, starred or muted conversations.
  • Pick a conversation to read and reply. Open order jumps to the order.

If you see "No conversations yet", open any order and write to your supplier from there.

#Writing a message

  • Press Enter to send, or Shift + Enter for a new line.
  • Attach a file with the paperclip, or drag and drop or paste it in. You can attach up to 5 files per message, 5MB each.
  • On a phone, use Take a photo to add a picture straight into the conversation.
  • Pictures show as pictures. Tap one to see it full size.

If you lose your connection you'll see "Messages will send when you reconnect."

#Reading a conversation

  • Your messages sit on the right.
  • Colleagues from your company appear on the left with their name.
  • Your supplier's team appears on the left in a different colour.
  • Under your messages you'll see Sent, then Seen once your supplier's team has read it.

#Replying, editing and deleting

Hover over a message (or tap it on a phone) to reply to it, react with an emoji, or copy it.

  • You can edit your own message for 15 minutes after sending it.
  • You can delete your own message at any time.

Everyone in the conversation then sees that it was edited, or a "Message deleted" note in its place, so nothing changes silently. Your account admin can also remove a message written by anyone at your company.

#Starring, muting and drafts

  • Star conversation keeps it at the top.
  • Mute conversation stops it counting as unread.
  • Anything you've started typing is kept as a draft until you come back.

These are saved to your login, so they follow you to another computer or your phone.

#The online assistant

If your supplier has the assistant switched on, Ask Flyte is pinned at the top of Messages. It's an AI assistant, not a person. You can ask it how the portal works or where your orders are up to, and your chat with it is private to you.

  • It can make mistakes, so check anything important with your supplier.
  • Send to a human passes your conversation to your supplier's team as a message on one of your orders. If you have no orders yet, contact your supplier directly.
  • Start over clears the chat.

#Notifications

The bell in the top bar shows updates, such as an order moving stage or something ready to review. Unread notifications also appear in To get done.

Good to know

notifications are shared across your company. Mark all read clears them for everyone, not only you.

#Emails

Order emails go to the order's contact. Approval emails (visuals, panel prints, samples, quotes) carry no-login links you can forward. You can't change email settings in the portal; ask your supplier to turn order emails off or on for you. See The emails you'll receive.

#Common questions

How do I contact my supplier? Use Messages on the relevant order, or reply to any email from them.

My question isn't about an order. Reply to one of your supplier's emails, or use any related order.

My notifications disappeared. A colleague probably used Mark all read. Read state is shared.

Can I edit a message? Yes, within 15 minutes of sending it.

I'm not getting emails. You may not be the order's contact, or emails may be switched off for you. Check your spam folder, then ask your supplier.
