Shipments and tracking

See what has left the factory, understand the two legs of the journey, find tracking numbers and follow split deliveries.

2 min read

Once an order is dispatched, the Shipments page shows where it is. Each shipment shows its stage, quantities, the dispatch date, Carrier and Tracking. Copy tracking number copies it for you.

If nothing has been sent yet you'll see "Nothing in transit right now". Shipments appear once your order is dispatched.

#Two journeys

Your goods usually travel in two legs:

  • Freight is the international leg from the factory to your supplier's warehouse. That's the Air or Sea method you chose when confirming.
  • Local delivery is the last leg, from the warehouse to you.

The tracking link in the out-for-delivery email covers the local leg only. Until the courier is booked you'll see "We'll book the courier once it's been checked at our warehouse. Tracking appears here."

Some orders ship direct to you and skip the local leg.

#Shipment stages

Stage What it means
Preparing Being packed and booked.

Awaiting local delivery Arrived at the warehouse, waiting to be sent on to you.

Part direct, part via our warehouse Some of it ships straight to you, some goes via the warehouse.

#Split deliveries

An order can arrive in more than one shipment. The order's Freight & delivery card shows what has shipped and The rest of your order — "Still to come — we'll email you when it's on its way." Every parcel is listed with its tracking on your order.

You get an email for every parcel:

  • Part of your order is on its way — the first parcel.
  • Another part of your order is on its way — any in between.
  • The rest of your order is on its way — the last parcel.

Each one has that parcel's own tracking link and lists what's in it.

#The emails

  • Dispatched / left factory — when the goods leave production, often with production photos, so your own customer can see what's coming.
  • Out for delivery — when your supplier sends the goods on to you, with a local tracking link when the courier has issued one.

#Common questions

Where's my tracking number? On Shipments, in the Tracking column on Orders, or in the out-for-delivery email. "Tracking to come" means it hasn't been booked yet.

The tracking link shows nothing. The courier may not have scanned it yet. Check again later.

Only part of my order arrived. It's been split. The rest shows as still to come, and you'll get an email when it's on its way.

Can I change the delivery address now? Use Change address on the order as early as possible and message your supplier as well, so they can check it hasn't already been sent. See Delivery addresses.
