Pre-production samples and job sheets

Approve a full sample garment before bulk production starts, or sign off a production job sheet for the whole job.

2 min read

Some orders have an extra approval step on top of panel prints. A pre-production sample is a complete garment made before bulk production. A production job sheet is a single sign-off covering every product on the job. Not every order uses either one; your supplier tells you when they apply.

#Pre-production samples

For some orders, the factory makes a complete sample garment in a size you choose. It's sent before any bulk production starts, either to your supplier's warehouse first or straight to you.

#How you get there

You get an email with the sample photos and a Sample review link. No login is needed.

#Your decision

Choice When to use it What happens
Approve — start bulk production The sample is right. Bulk production goes ahead.
Approve with these changes It's good to go with some adjustments. Your notes go straight to the factory and bulk goes ahead with them.
Request a new sample It needs another sample before bulk. Say what to change. You get another review link when the new sample ships.

Your name is required.

Good to know

bulk production does not start until you've approved the sample.

While a sample is waiting for you, your order shows the Artwork Approval stage.

#Production job sheets

Some jobs have a Production Job Sheet to sign off. It shows every product's renders, artwork colours, logo placements and notes in one place.

#Your decision

Review every product, then make one decision for the whole job sheet:

  • Approve job sheet — you're asked "Approve this job sheet for production? This cannot be undone." Confirm, and production proceeds.
  • Request changes — describe what needs changing. Your supplier's team reviews it and comes back to you.

Your name is required.

Watch out

a job sheet approval can't be undone. If you notice something wrong afterwards, message your supplier straight away.

On the Visuals page, jobs with a job sheet show statuses such as Job Sheet Awaiting Review and Job Sheet Approved. See Your visual jobs and their statuses.

#Common questions

Can I undo a job sheet approval? No. Message your supplier straight away if something's wrong.

Where does the sample get sent? To your supplier's warehouse first, or straight to you, depending on the order.

The review link says it has expired. The review was replaced or already completed. Ask your supplier.
